This research-based programme will lead to the achievement of real impact in the small business sector, as well as faster economic growth and sustainability. This year, and every year thereafter for a period of up to 10 years, 200 finalists will be selected through an open application process.
The best 40 of the 200 will be identified through a rigorous process, in partnership with KPMG, EY and Sizwe Ntsaluba Gobodo, as the National Gazelles: the most promising, high-potential entrepreneurs who will become tomorrow’s industrialists and medium sized companies.
The programme will support the growth of these identified Gazelles through an integrated package of benefits, business opportunities and incentives, combined with practical and effective business training and support with strong private sector involvement. The overall aim is to ensure that the Gazelles grow and operate to their maximum potential.
